Nigerian Entertainment Today has announced a
strategic content partnership with Movie Moments, a Nollywood resource
organization based in Lagos Nigeria.
The deal, according to NET publisher Ayeni
Adekunle, is a three-year venture that’ll see Movie Moments (also known as
MOMO) deliver its digital editorial contents through NET’s weekly print
newspaper.
MOMO currently runs one of Nigeria’s most respected
and most trusted Nollywood information and entertainment websites, with
audiences from Nigeria, Kenya, London, USA, France, South Africa and Brazil.
‘We’re keen to have our presence felt on all
platforms, and having done exceedingly well in our first year online, we’re
extending our reach to traditional platforms like print, radio and TV. Instead
of going out alone, we’re partnering with brands already established on these
platforms, and there’s no other entertainment brand with a successful print
edition right now like Nigerian Entertainment Today’, MOMO founder Abisoye
Fagade says.
The partnership will see a weekly MOMO pull out in
NET, featuring reviews, news, gossip, interviews, and other juicy content.
‘This is a collaboration that will help both parties’,
notes Ayeni. ‘We’re happy to enrich our Nollywood coverage while giving our
friends at MOMO a platform to reach a new set of audiences across the country.
According to particulars of the partnership, both
organizations will also jointly train reporters and provide opportunities for
engaging the industry on sundry issues. MOMO was a key partner for the
inaugural Nigerian Entertainment Conference organized by NET
on April 26.
