Tribunal declares Obanikoro winner of 2011 LG polls in Lagos

Earlier on Thursday morning, a tribunal sitting in
Lagos state declared Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro (PDP) winner of the October
2011 Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA chairmanship elections as against the earlier victory
of the ACN candidate, ‘Wale Adeniji.
The 1-year legal battle between the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) and the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) on the actual
winner of the last local government council election held in Lagos State last
year October was finally decided today.

Babajide Obanikoro is the son of Lagos PDP chieftain,
Ambassador (Sen.) Musiliu Obanikoro.
