Dangote, Elumelu & others Nominated for Forbes Africa Person of the Year Award

Mr. Tony Elumelu &
The President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko
Dangote and the Chairman of Heirs Holdings, have been nominated
for the Forbes Africa Person of the Year Award.
They are the two
Nigerians who made the five-man list. Others on the list are Malawian President
Joyce Banda, Managing Director of Kenya’s Equity Bank Limited, Dr. James Mwangi
and co-founder of Aspen Pharmacare, Mr. Stephen Saad.
Alhaji Aliko
Dangote who was the runner-up to Forbes Africa Person of the Year Award,
is still Africa’s richest man, worth more than $11.2 Billion. Dangote
continues to be one of the continents biggest employer of labour. Both Alhaji
Aliko Dangote and Mr Tony Elumelu are the only Nigerians nominated for this
award, other nominees are Malawian President Joyce Banda, Managing Director of
Kenya’s Equity Bank Limited, Dr James Mwangi and co- founder of Aspen
Pharmacare, Mr Stephen Saad.
Nation newspaper also
informs that the winner of this award would have had a remarkable influence on
the events of the year on the African continents
