Top Nigerian musicians, Terry G and 9ice have
changed their management. The duo have recently pitched their tenth with one of
Nigeria’s most experienced artiste managers and founding partner of Now Muzik
Entertainment Services, Tony Anifite, a.k.a Don T who recently floated a new
management company, Dicotyledon Entertainment LTD to proffer management
solutions within the entertainment industry.
9ice and Terry G would not speak on why they
pitched their tenth with Don T but close sources said it’s not unconnected with
Anifite’s wealth of experience. Other artistes that have joined Dicotyledon are
Tunde & Wunmi Obe, mix-master Sheyman, soul singer Charles Granville and
Yinka Nathan.
Widely acclaimed as a thorough breed professional
with over 15 years experience in the artiste management business, Don T can
rightly be said to be one of those that laid a solid foundation and direction
for artiste management business in Nigeria.
On his decision to leave Now Muzik after 15 years
to float a new company, Don T said he was hungry for fresh challenges. “It
was a hard decision to make but I was starting to feel restless in my soul,
like I had peaked in my role and a fresh challenge was needed for my continuous
self-improvement. Now Muzik however still remains my family and that will never
change”.
While at Now Muzik , he worked with some of the
biggest, brightest and promising names in the industry’ from Sunny Neji,
Rugged Man, Mr. Raw, Freestyle, Sheyi Shay, Eedris Abdulkareem, Paul
Play, Niyola, J Martins, Timi Dakolo, 2Face Idibia, amongst others.
